Henry Kiser Jr. Henry S. Kiser, Jr., 84, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Williamson, W.Va., died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at NHC of Chattanooga. He was born in Vulcan, W.Va., June 15, 1926, the son of the late Henry S. Kiser Sr. and Pearl Murphy Kiser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Michael Kiser; and three sisters, Marie Hensley, Mildred Kiser and Geneva Lamanca. He was employed by Appalachian Power Company for 40 years, was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Grace Baptist Temple of West Williamson where he served as Sunday school superintendent and was a member of the board of trustees for a number of years. He also assisted his wife at her store, Gladys’ Fudge, after they moved to Chattanooga. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gladys Dillon Kiser; one daughter, Deborah K. Brooks of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Misty Vidal of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Courtney Painter of Chattanooga; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, in the Weaver Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ron Sanger officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Arrangements are under direction of Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
