William H. Bill Rose was born on January 24, 1939, at Nolan, WV. He was the son of the late Sam and Mae Alley Rose. He was a retired nurse with 32 years of service with Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Caney Church of Christ.
William passed away on May 24, 1999, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Rose Kidwell.
At the time of his death, William was survived by his wife two daughters and their husbands; brother Sammy Rose, Chattaroy; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Weaver Mortuary with Pastor David Parley officiating. Burial followed in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Maher, WV.
